Fox buys 'Manny' script

FoxThe Fox network has bought the comedy script "Ben Fox Is My Manny," from creator Dana Fox. Internet bought the only-cam pilot from the affiliated studio, twentieth century Fox, and should pay a considerably penalty when the show does not reach series. Script centers on one mother's aimless brother who moves directly into help her raise her baby. Just before "Manny," Fox authored bigscreen efforts "The Marriage Date," "What Goes On in Las vegas" and "Couples Retreat." She'll professional produce with Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope. The happy couple are busy with three rookie series on Fox ("Terra Nova," "New Girl" and "Allen Gregory") in addition to a number of projects in development.
